We’ve been on the hunt for the perfect toiletry bag to fit our family’s needs. When we had the opportunity to work with eBags, we thought it would be great to see if this bag was the right fit for family’s who travel.
When we think of a toiletry bag to hold all of our toiletries for extended travel, there are a few key points we wanted it to hit.
Since we’ll be traveling full time, we’ll be pulling our toiletries out of our bags multiple times a day. This is one of the reasons we chose this color! It’s very noticeable, which makes finding it in our bigger bags a lot easier than a color like black- think black in a black hole, with a needy toddler… no thanks.
The fact that this bag is so flat makes it that much more convenient. When we’re packing our bags we tend to put our toiletry bag in last, for easy access. Since it’s so flat, it makes fitting it into our bags much easier than a more bulky, round-ish toiletry bag.
The hook in the middle helps us to reduce the chance of our toddler getting into our toiletries, which is extremely important to us (no one wants all of their shampoo dumped on the floor). Plus it gives us more counter space wherever we go.
Since we’ll be using this bag multiple times a day for at least a year straight, if not more, we needed to find something that was extremely durable. It’s made of Techlite Diamond Nylon, and the zippers glide very well without getting caught. So far it’s been extremely durable for our family!
This is KEY to traveling as a family. Since this has so many compartments, it has made organizing our toiletries a lot easier than a normal 1 compartment style. Are you starting to tell that I don’t enjoy black-hole bags? 😉
The middle U shaped compartment is the biggest and has multiple pockets within it. This is where we typically put our shampoo, soap, and my makeup. The smaller pockets in the middle hold our smaller items- my bobby pins and hair ties, and our nail clippers.
The pocket on the left of the bag has a waterproofing material inside. This is where we keep our tooth brushes and tooth paste.
On the right side of the bag there are 2 small compartments. When I seen photos previously, I always thought this was one larger pocket and a zipper to make it expand like on some suitcases.
Instead there are the 2 compartments (the organizer in me was very happy about this). We put cologne and perfume in one pocket. The other holds our hand cream, lip chap, and a few other bits and pieces.
Overall, we’re really impressed with this pack-it-flat toiletry bag, and we’d recommend it to any traveler out there. The flat design makes packing it very easy and convenient. If you’re a family of traveler’s, I’d suggest getting the Large Pack It Flat bag!
